We are not doing COVID Vaccinations on site. To book your COVID Vaccine online at one of the locations in Southland you can head to the Book My Vaccine Website https://app.bookmyvaccine.covid19.health.nz

AFTER HOURS: If you are a patient at Lumsden Medical Centre and need to see a doctor urgently after hours, please phone 03 2487146 and follow the instructions you are given. Alternatively you can make an appointment directly with the Invercargill Urgent Doctors 03 2188821. Please be aware there is a cost for these appointments that are held at their clinic in Invercargill.

We have a new purpose built designated consult room where we will see patients who have cough, cold or flu symptoms without bringing them into the Medical Centre.

Lumsden Medical Centre takes pride in having achieved Foundation Standards in 2016 & 2020 (slightly later due to COVID) and achieving Reaccreditation every 3 years.

Foundation Standards is an Accreditation Programme specifically designed by the Royal College of GP’s for General Practices in New Zealand. Practices with Foundations Standards Accreditation have been independently audited and met the high standard of heath care required.
