Lumsden Medical Centre is open to care for our patients. Our waiting room is open for patients however please DO NOT ENTER the Medical Centre if you have a cough, cold or flu symptoms. Phone our receptionist on 03 2487146 and wait in your car.
We have a new purpose built designated Consult Room where we will see patients who have a cough, cold or flu symptoms without bringing them into the Medical Centre.
If you have recently travelled within NZ or have a cough, cold or flu symptoms, please advise our receptionist when you phone to make an appointment.

The Primary Health Organisation we belong to is Wellsouth. They support the practice in delivering a variety of services to improve the health of our Southern Population.
Our Practice provides quality patient focused healthcare. We are available for Primary Care and supporting our patients health needs. We are committed to delivering the best possible service for all our patients whatever their needs.
Our Clinical Team of Doctors and Nurses have undergone extensive medical training to equip them with the knowledge and diverse skills to provide care and friendly advice to individuals and families in our community. From time to time, they may be unavailable as they attend further training courses to up skill and continue their Medical Training. Click here to meet our team.
General Practice is your first stop when you have a concern about your health. We offer 15 minute appointments. We can refer you to a Specialist should you need further care.
Lumsden Medical Centre takes pride in having achieved Foundation Standards in 2016 and achieving Reaccreditation every 3 years.
Foundation Standards is an Accreditation Programme specifically designed by the Royal College of GP’s for General Practices in New Zealand. Practices with Foundations Standards Accreditation have been independently Audited and met the high standard of heath care required.
